It is no fantasy that the 2018 OOU SUG Fresher's night which happened on Friday, 16th of March was a hit bursting with the University’s most inspiring fresh students, celebrities, SUG officials and other brightest stars from academics to the arts.
The prestigious event was hosted by SUG Social Director, Comrade Ogunbona Temiloluwa (Gbera) and was held at H.K.G Lounge along Mariam road which attracted the sights of numbers of Students who came irrespective of their faculties, department or discipline.
Truly, it was not a night to forget easily as the Social Director had earlier promised. The event was graced with amazing performances from finest OOU artistes including FJB, Nathytainer, X Cross, Shayo Cole, Climax Gee, High Bee, Titi Matthews amongst others. Although the performance of highly anticipated guest artiste 'Mr Real' did not eventually see the light of the day, guests at the occasion would testify that his absence was not felt.
From the open dance competitions, to the rivalry performance between the two guest DJs, DJ Large and DJ Adarmz up to the unending hype performance from OOU finest Hype man, Jaystar Rhymz; one might completely forget that the dance floor is not his bedroom. Commenting at the end of the event, Social Director, Gbera described the turn up as a success and a trend worthy of emulation for upcoming Student Union administrations. She thanked the Students and guests for showing their support despite the unusual delay in this year's occasion.
The event was graced with the presence of the SUG Vice President, Legal Director, General Secretary, Welfare Director, members of the SHS and other dignitaries.
