A health walk organised by the Olabisi Onabanjo University school management on the 11th of April emphatically focused on a healthy body as a benefit to the students and staff of the university.
The only female and sport coach II, Mrs Ebunoluwa Seun who is also a graduate of OOU spoke during the health walk on the general benefits of exercise and why the gym is very momentous to everybody as visiting the gym regularly helps in all ramifications one can ever imagine.
"Students should come to the gym centre as it allows them to avoid unnecessary friendship and meet with intellectual and important people in the society. It also improves your mental faculty because it helps your brain to be on alert".
"Activities take place every second Wednesday of the month at the sport center". She particularized.
Speaking further, she opines that lack of exercise can lead to mental depression.
"There is what we called Central Nervous System in the body, if there's a breakdown there due to insufficient exercise, then, the person can have a serious problem or such individual can experience depression ". She avowed.
Mrs Seun stands against the idea of students who only feels it is when they are overweight or when they need to Slim down that they visit the gym for exercise. She advises students, both fat and Slim that obesity or not should not be the reason why they are coming to the gym for exercise, but because it is the best exercise for their health.
Mrs Seun continues by using herself as an embodiment, she narrated how her sport life since secondary school till date has brought her to wear she is, and what exercise and gym center has done to her.
"You can't guess my age, I believe you can maintain your stature through exercise ". She said.
In her last words, she advises students not to deprive themselves of the rights as the gym is just a token of #500 and it is built for them.
