The Faculty of Administration and Management Sciences has scheduled their first general election exercise to hold in the first week of April.
It would be recalled that the faculty which was demerged from the defunct Faculty of Social and Management Sciences in 2017 have not had any general election since its inception.
The Emeritus President Alabi Daniel (Daniboy) led administration was elected through an electoral college comprising of all departmental Presidents.
However, speaking with Campus Mirror, the team leader of the electoral committee Akorede Akanni affirmed that a general election will hold in the first week on April.
Akanni commended the previous administration for a great job done even though he said that they ran the administration without funds and less cabinet.
"The sales of forms for the aspirants has started already and is slated to end on the March 31, 2018 with no further extension.
The date of the election has not been set, but the electoral committee hopes to have the elections in the first week of April before examination tension comes around even as time is not on our side.", the ECO Chairman said. He further urged every student in the faculty to participate in the election in any way they can.
