The President of the National Assocation Of Ogun State Student, Olabisi Onabanjo University Chapter, Alao Segun, has disclosed that the bursary allowance for the indigenous students is yet to be disbursed by the state government.
Campus Mirror recalls that students of the University who are indigenes of the state were few months ago asked to submit forms with the consent of the SUG hoping to get allowance from the state government.
We also gathered complaints of non-payment and insecure feelings from students who tends to be unsure if their bank accounts and personal details are safe.
When asked if the students has started receiving alerts, the President disclosed that the association's effort has not yielded any positive outcome on the disbursement of the bursary as none of the students has received alert.
"The bursary allowance hasn't been released nationwide and we are expecting the new government to work on that", He said.
He also confirmed the school management to be in root of the information as a letter was sent to the Dean of Students' Affairs to provide the details of the students in the school therefore assuring students that their details are in safe hands.
To clear all doubts, he revealed a fresh hope for the students promising they would get paid soon.
"Recently we spoke with Prince Dapo Abiodun on the issue, and he's giving us a privilege speech that he wants the national executive to conduct election and something tremendous is going to happen as we will be calling our students very soon for payments.", he said.
He further pleaded with the students to keep calm and trust the process and they should always yield to their calls as the executives can't do the work alone.
