The latest reduction in the Keke Napep fee was announced following a dialogue involving the Students' Union Exco and the Tricycle Union Committee of the university.

In the statement co-signed by the Union President, Akinbo Afolabi, it was stated that the changes occurred due to the yearning of the Student's populace.

"Henceforth the per drop on Campus by Napep popularly called Maruwa is now #30 in exemptions to the Hostel and Sport Center which is #50.

This changes is taking effect as from Monday.", the statement said.

The statement further introduced sanctions on defaulting Maruwa Drivers and urged students to report to the Students' Union anyone who fail to comply with the new changes.

However, several Students who spoke with Campus Mirror following the announcement expressed satisfaction at the development.

In different comments, they commended the Kempes Led adminsitration and the University management for the kind gesture.

Meanwhile, the hostelites also pleaded with the union to look into reducing the transport fee to the hostel and amending other loopholes.
