The Central executive council of the Olabisi Onabanjo University Students' Union Government has presented a budget totalling about forty million (N40 Million) naira to the Students' house of Senate for approval.
The budget which was submitted by individual executive member was presented to the Senate Committee on Budget & Finance last friday for defense.
Although the details of individual budgets was not revealed to Campus Mirror for 'security reasons', it was gathered that the documents contained each programmes which the Kempes led SUG executives aims to execute.
Speaking with Campus Mirror, the chairman of the SUG SHS Budget and Finance Committee, Sen. Akala Hamza explained that the SHS is working with the executives to ensure the full implementation of various projects listed in their budgets. He however decried unavailability of funds to execute them.
"The problem at hand now is that there’s no enough funds. The school is yet to disburse to the union. But we would try and see all the projects that are feasible within the little period we have now. I mean, we will give approval to those project that will benefit the entire OOUites."
Sen. Hamza further enjoined students to co-operate with the whole administration promising that the Senate will continue monitor the executives to ensure that all projects listed in their various budgets are implemented.
