Uncertainty Trails Dissolution Date Of Kempes Led SUG As Lymar Eyes ECO Chairmanship Position

Life! Everything that has a beginning must surely has an end. Such is the administration of the Akinbo Afolabi (Kempes) led OOU SUG; The Ibogun based Computer Engineering student who defiled all odds to emerge the first President from the campus.

Just like yesterday! The Echoes and chants of "Greatest gbagba! Greatest gbo-gbo! Greatest fo won ni go lori!" is about to invade the campus again. Several sources have informed Campus Mirror that the administration would soon be dissolved as election will take place 'very soon'.

Although the administration was elected about one year ago (July 3, 2018), there are however uncertainties over its dissolution as major stakeholders have failed to comment on a specific date when the administration will come to an end. This development is putting aspirants and some concerned students in anxiety as rain semester examination approaches.

When contacted, the SUG President, Kempes said he has 'no information' on the dissolution date adding that it is not within his jurisdiction to decide when the administration will be dissolved.
When a call was put through to the SUG Senate President, Dist. Sen. Olanrenwaju Samuel (Big Sam), he also declined comment stating that the administration still has 'more time'.

"This is a long administration. There is still time. We've only had 3 out of 6 sittings. Please don't ask me this question again.", he hurriedly told Campus Mirror Reporter before ending the call.

Meanwhile, impeccable sources have informed Campus Mirror that a former SUG Vice President, Lawal Halimat (Lymar) has been positioned to become the next SUG Electoral Committee (SUG ECO) Chairman.
The source who asked not to be named boasted that all plans have been sealed for the former SUG Presidential aspirant to conduct the forthcoming election.

"We've decided to compensate her with the position. I can tell you authoritatively that Lymar is the next ECO Chairman.", the source said.

Recall that Lawal Halimat (Lymar) was a Presidential aspirant in the last SUG election before stepping down for the incumbent President Kempes. This follows after a mild clash with another aspirant in her Faculty, Shodunke Olatunji (Tee Jay) arising from alleged leakage of her CGPA.

When a call was put through to Lymar to confirm her interest in the SUG ECO Chairmanship, she refused to speak, hurriedly ending the call on Campus Mirror reporter who called her.

While we are still oblivious of how events will turn in following weeks, Campus Mirror will keep you informed on developments and activities that would shape the forthcoming OOU SUG election.
