An adage says that there is beauty in ashes. Such is the case of LAT Food Canteen which continues to strive amidst "ko si ogo" rumour.
It has been gathered that rather than sink under the weight of the rumour like other food vendors, LAT has taken giant steps in the branding and packaging of it's product, using a branded nylon.
The popular food canteen, LAT, was accused in a rumour which started on Monday, 29th March 2021, on twitter, of using bath water of corpse to cook her meals. This caused mixed reactions from students as some were scared and others ignored the unverified information. It infact became a trending slang "ko si ogo" translated as no Glory.
In the light of this, some members of the Students union visited the site of the restaurant to verify the news and discovered that the place was as calm as usual.
Mrs Lateefat, the CEO of LAT, in an interview revealed her journey in the business so far as she said that she was once a staff of the University. She also mentioned that the same food is what her family eats. She however vowed to get to the root of the accusation.
It was also gathered that though the culprit, Adebanjo Blessing Ifeoluwa, had retracted the rumour saying that every statement she made concerning the food vendor (Mrs Lateefat) were false and they were not said in order to dent her image.
Mrs Lateefat has however said that even if she forgives her, her spirit will not forgive her.
