Ogun State Universities to hold Joint Protest

The Ogun state universities; Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB) and Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) have all agreed to a joint coalition protest' to begin on Monday, 16th of May, 2022 at Ijebu Ode, Ogun state. 


This was made known in a memo released by Modesty, the OOU SUG President just after the peaceful protest held by students of the Olabisi Onabanjo University on Friday, 13th of May, 2022 against the ASUU Strike.


According to the press release, the SUG stated that TASUED and FUNAAB have joined forces with OOU to further established a firm movement of the agitation towards the lackadaisical attitude of the government on the ASUU strike. 


The SUG in the press release reminded comrades and students to be conscious of the fact that the struggle for Education is the Struggle for life, and victory is always ascertained at the end of every struggle. 


He went ahead to appreciate comrades, students and entire university stakeholders for coming out en mass on Friday. 

He said, "The Olabisi Onabanjo University students came out amass to protest against the ongoing ASUU strike at Oru, Ijebu-Igbo, on Friday, 13th of May."
