In an announcement from the Leadership of the Law Students' Society(LSS) at Olabisi Onabanjo University, the legal community mourns the passing of one of its own, Okocha Jesse, a dedicated Legal Quintessence student within the Faculty.
Reports unveiled that Jesse had fallen ill, prompting an urgent transfer to OOUTH where the confirmation of his passing was made at 3:00 am today. The news has left the entire faculty in deep sorrow and shock at the sudden loss.
Expressing their deep grief, the Society extended heartfelt sympathies to the Legal Quintessences and the bereaved family, offering prayers for solace during this challenging period. Jesse's memory remains vivid within the hearts of all who knew him.
As OOUlawss grapples with this poignant loss, they bid farewell to Jesse, honouring his legacy and the impact he had within their midst.
However, the school health centre at mini campus has been alleged of medical negligence which in turn has caused a trust deficit in the health system among the students.
The SUG PRO, Hon. Abimbola responding on behalf of the students Union said “whether or not it is negligence, the Union's stand is that it's about time the school management put in measures that can make the health centre function better.”
Investigation on the cause of Jesse's death is still ongoing according to the Union.
