STED SINKS SOCIOLOGY WITH HEAVY DOWNPOUR

The OOU Science and Technology Education Department (STED) football team defeated Sociology 4 goals to nill at Tytanic Super Cup on Monday. 

STED commenced their goal rampage against their opponents with Salah, who grabbed the opener in the first half of the game, while Nero slotted home the second just before halftime. Johnson with the third, and Salah found the back of the net again to seal off the game in the second half.

The STED coach, Awoderu Micheal, while speaking to Campus Mirror, reflected on his boys' performance and their will to be back stronger, despite their bad performance at the previous Tytanic Super Cup. 

“I feel so excited, actually; it's what we've been training so hard to achieve. In our first experience with the Tytanic Super Cup, we lost both home and away to the Mathematics department, which was so painful despite all our hard work. So, this time we're coming stronger,” he said. 

He further gave kudos to their opponents for giving their best, which he believes they could only try as they don't have a chance against them as he considers themselves the best, and reiterated that this is just the tip of the iceberg for what's still to come. 

“Our opponent tried their best but we're the best at what we do, which is why we're called Almighty STED. We still have to put in more effort and work harder as we are also coming stronger in our return leg, today is just the tip of an iceberg,” he added. 

However, Michael assured the fans that they will be entertained and most importantly secure the trophy for the team. 

“Our fans should be expecting us to be crowned as champions of the tournament and we're also here to entertain them as well,” he said.
