The Union of Campus Journalists, University of Ibadan (UCJ-UI) is set to host her first Global Campus Journalism Summit and 36th induction ceremony, themed 'The Future of Journalism in Nigeria: Press Censorship, Digital Misinformation and the Missing Perspectives' on Saturday, November 30.
The event, which aims to bring together campus journalists from around the world to strengthen the bonds between various unions and associations and share knowledge among campus journalists, will also feature an annual induction ceremony, which is intended to admit new members into the Union.
The summit's goal is to bridge the gap between mainstream journalism and campus journalism, and it will be led by leading professionals and industry experts from throughout the nation. A collection of articles from different campus journalists will be included in the Union's sessional magazine, CAMPULSE '24, which will be launched together with other features.
Additional benefits for college journalists include networking with other campus journalists from different associations/unions in Nigeria, discussing pertinent journalism issues and solutions, and exposing them to lesser-known subfields within the field
