The Marveliar Initiative hosted its first inaugural Soul Session event on November 29, 2024, at the OOU Mass Communication building.
Soul Session is an event where spoken word artists come together, share their performances, and connect with like-minded individuals. "We aim to create something great for Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), allowing people to express themselves freely without judgment,” says the event host, Abdulsalam Adebayo.
The event featured spoken word performances, debates, and award presentations to winners.
Barnabas (Mr Marveliar), in an exclusive interview with Campus Mirror, shared his vision for future events: “We have just launched Marveliar Initiative and have many more planned; you won’t be able to get enough.”
He further expressed his gratitude for the event's success, giving a vote of thanks to individuals who attended the event, the likes of the Emeritus President of the Social Sciences Students' Association (SOSSA), Samson Ajayi; former Association of Students' Communicators (ASCOM) Sports Secretary, Bello Olasubomi; ASCOM President-elect, David Oribolawale (Phoenix), among others. “I am impressed with how it turned out and most grateful to God,” He said.
