The coach of Elite Eagle, Sultan, has made it known that his team is ready to bank on their 2-1 victory against Cybernauts FC, by trying to sustain their winning momentum.
Sultan, during the post-match interview with Campus Mirror on Thursday, March 20, 2025, recounted his experiences with the team so far, referencing the amazing and not-too-good days.
“Being with this team has been a journey, it has its ups and downs. We won the first three matches, while we lost the next four; so, it has been hard for me, you just can't think about it and oh this thing is not doing well but now that we've won one, time for the momentum to keep going and I'm sure we're going to keep improving,” he said.
Sultan further highlighted specific areas that need to be fixed in his team and also acknowledged the need for reinforcement.
“My midfield needs a little bit of improvement, but my defense is already stable; I think we need a little bit of reinforcement.”
Meanwhile, the Elite Eagle's captain, Enigbokan Oluwaseyi, also spoke about the team's performance and revealed that they knew the victory would be theirs, after the first 45 minutes.
“The team's performance was sharp. I like the spirit, I like the team spirit. We knew we were winning from the first half; it was obvious. As a team, we can just keep getting better and try to make more winnings,” he added.
