The Department of Mass Communication coach, Mubarak Olayode, popularly known as Mubee, has made it known that teamwork and collaboration gave his side an advantage to secure a 2-1 victory against the Department of Statistics at the Ibile Games 2025 football category.
Coach Mubee, while speaking with Campus Mirror after the match on Saturday, March 15, acknowledged the support his boys gave to one another and expressed how pleased he is with the team.
“I'm proud of the team, their composure, style of play, and how they followed instructions. Even under pressure, they remained calm and played. Teamwork and collaboration played a huge role in this win; everyone understood their responsibilities and supported each other,” he said.
Furthermore, the 21/22 SUG Freshers' Cup silver medalist revealed that they kept things simple in terms of tactics noted brilliant individual performances from some of his players, and also gave a hint on what to expect in the next match.
“Tactically, we kept things simple, and with God on our side, players like Samod stepped up, scoring a brilliant free kick. Subomi, as the playmaker, also provided a key assist for Barna’s goal, which secured our victory. We are going even harder and better in the next match. I trust my boys, and I believe we’re winning again. he added.
