A player of Linguistics department, Olopade Wasiu revealed that he is capable of scoring four out of five kicks from the center spot after their victory against Zoology at NAOSS cup
Wasiu who plays in an attacking midfield position led his team to victory as they defeated Zoology four goals to nil in a thrilling match which took place, Saturday, March 16 at Olabisi Onabanjo University Sports Center.
He opened the score sheet from the first kick of the game as he easily beat the keeper who was off his line from the center field. Wasiu went forward to double the lead 13 minutes after his first goal.
Francis and Sulaimon also scored the remaining two goals to complete their four nil victory.
While speaking on the team’s performance, he said, “They really impressed me, they played to my expectation, we did a lot of training and I think when there is hardwork in a certain organization, obviously this would be the outcome”.
Wasiu also revealed how he was able to pull off the potential best goal of the competition, he said, “We did that a lot in training, and we did the same technique so we just put it out here and it worked for us, I will score four out of five from the same spot.”
