The department of Geography presented an opportunity to equate scores after their Dean’s Cup trophy loss to Mass Communication as a friendly match is set to take place on Friday, June 28, 2024 at Olabisi Onabanjo University Sports Center.
The match which would kick off by10am is beyond just a friendly game as the revenge thirst by one of the opponents cannot be overlooked. In the words of Comr. Bello Muhammad Olasubomi, who’s currently the sport director of mass communication department said, “It’s a preparation match for the upcoming Faculty of Social Sciences (SOSSA) Dean’s cup, but there’s a great rivalry between the two teams that’s why we tagged it SOSSA DERBY.”
Furthermore, Comr. Subomi assured Campus Mirror that there would be readjustments to the team’s style of play to suit the sight of their fans and also do well to defend their title by winning this year’s edition of the competition.
Geography and Mass Communication currently have players who represent their various departments at the faculty level and are also part of the squad that won the Football Lovers Association(FLA) Faculty League Cup 2024.
