Omotayo Oyinade Deborah has made history as the “Best Graduating Student” from the Faculty of Law with a remarkable 4.88 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) at the valedictory service of the Class of Exemplars held on Thursday, 4th of May, 2023.

According to the program book, Oyinade’s achievement has broken the unwavering 40-year record since the university’s establishment in 1981. She was praised by the Vice-Chancellor for her outstanding academic performance. She was also awarded the Student of the Year award and served as the immediate past president of the Redeemed Christian Fellowship, OOU; demonstrating her well-rounded nature. 

In her speech, Deborah expressed gratitude to her family, lecturers, and classmates for their support throughout her academic journey; emphasizing that her success would not have been possible without their help and the grace of God. Her success serves as an inspiration to other students and raises the bar high for those who will come after her.
